Super Shiny Rosemary and Rose Hair Conditioner
This is a really nice creamy nourishing conditioner. You can use coconut milk instead of the water however it does not preserve well and would need to be used immediately. Therefore I use the water version so I can keep it for as long as I need to. I know this lasts at least up to 8 weeks.
What you will need:
1 litre distilled water or rose water
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp glycerine
1 tbsp pea or rice protein
1 tbsp Shakari or Alma powder
2 tbsp aloe vera gel
1 tbsp Xanthan gum
2 tbsp almond oil or macadamia oil, Argan oil, olive oil
1 tbsp honey
½ tbsp alcohol
5 drops rosemary oil and rose essential oil
What to do:
Heat the distilled water and then add the pea/ rice protein and Shakari
Transfer to a blender and blitz until the protein is thoroughly mixed into the water.
Add the apple cider vinegar, glycerine, aloe vera gel, honey and almond oils (add the essential oils to the carrier oil to hold the fragrance for longer).
Blend the mixture and add half the xanthan gum. If the consistency is too runny, add the other half to thicken.
Decant your conditioner and use as required.
